Hello Amazing Families,

    Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at CORE Butte Charter School!  My name is Nikki Valine and I will be your Personalized Learning Teacher (PLT).  This is my seventh year at CORE and my fifteenth year teaching. I have a dual Bachelor's degree in Child Development and Liberal Studies. I also have my K-8 multi-subject teaching credential with a supplemental in English. I am SO excited to work with your family this year and I look forward to getting to know you! 
     When I am not "wearing my PLT hat" I am a busy momma to an amazing eight-year old boy, a wife to a talented and loving husband & you can find me somewhere between my craft room, my kitchen, or my garden. 
     This school year I will be teaching two Elementary enrichment classes. I am excited to be teaching 4-5 Art & Science and 4-5 Math & Writing Through Technology. My classes this year are back-to-back on Wednesdays, so I will be in class from 9:30 am - 1:15 pm. I am also a member of two leadership teams on campus, GLEAM and Momentum Teacher Lead. GLEAM stands for Grade-level Education, Activities & Meet-ups, supporting our K8 center in these areas; my role in Momentum is acting as a liaison between our staff collective and our leadership admin team as a representative staff voice and facilitator of discussion and growth/development of school-wide ideas.

      We will be meeting together once or twice monthly, or as often as you need.
